Governor Bill Richardson, following a meeting with legislative leaders, said he will call the Legislature into a Special Session starting Oct. 17, 2009 to address the budget shortfall caused by the national recession. The special session will start on Saturday, Oct. 17 at noon; the length of the session will be dependent on how long it takes to reach a consensus on the budget.
